As the frosty mornings and snowy days grow less far between, don’t let winter parking bans creep up on you.

Winooski’s winter parking ban runs from December 1 through March 31. During these months, parking is prohibited on central downtown streets from the hours of 2:30 AM-6:00 AM. The specific streets are designated on a map courtesy of the city and largely affect parking near or around the Winooski circle.

Other streets may be affected by winter parking bans in the event of winter storms for snow removal in which case the ban will be in effect from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Residents can sign up for ban alerts by texting Winooski to 888 777, or at nixle.com. Landline users can also check ban updates by calling 802-655-3908.

Vehicles will be towed by the city at the owner's expense and can be retrieved by contacting Handy’s Service Center at 802-862-0656.

Paid overnight parking is available in the Winooski Parking Garage on Cascade Way. More information and updates on winter parking bans can be found on the City of Winooski News Updates page at winoskivt.gov.
