The Winooski News is part of the Reporting and Documentary Storytelling program at the University of Vermont and the Community News Service, a reporting service that pairs student reporters with professional editors to provide community-scale content at no cost.
Our Team
Holly Sullivan | Editor
Holly Sullivan graduated from UVM in 2024 with a degree in English. She spent two semesters as a reporter with CNS, first covering the Legislature and later writing about a host of events and efforts, mostly in Winooski. She enjoys reporting on education and art, and she teaches at Edmund Elementary. In her spare time, she’s passionate about singing.
Steven Berbeco | Publisher
Steven is an experienced strategist in strengthening communities, especially in youth/adult education, mental health, and publishing. He has been successful in innovating systems-level change for diverse, multicultural populations. Steven serves on several boards for his local community, and he is proficient in several languages.
Justin Trombly | Editor, Community News Service
Justin Trombly is the editor of Community News Service. He coordinates with our media partners, workshops stories with student reporters and helps build CNS' effort to strengthen Vermont journalism. He's been a reporter at VTDigger, the Tampa Bay Times, the Buffalo News and local papers in upstate New York.
